About the project
Canadian Adobo is a feature documentary focusing on the experiences and struggles of the children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were affected by their parents’ decision to immigrate to Canada. Through themes of sacrifice, the film explores the systemic mental health implications of estrangement that lead to intra-family conflicts between Filipino-Canadian families and their children.
